Metrological maintenance
General provisions
The metrological maintenance (ÌM) is a range of measures on establishment and employment of scientific and organizational bases of technical means, rules and norms necessary for achievement of solidarity and required accuracy of measurements with the purpose of provision the qualitative providing of services to customers, promotion of labor productivity at technical maintenance of means.
Problems of metrological maintenance in sphere of communication and information are controlled and coordinated by the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan (CIA Uz).
The scientific-engineering and organizational - methodical supervision of works on realization of problems of metrological maintenance of economic entity in sphere of communication and information is assigned to the Basic metrological service (BMS) at the Scientific-engineering and Marketing Researches Center (SEMRC).
Along with BMS in sphere of communication and information are also functioning three accredited metrological services having the right of checking, calibrations, repair and metrological certification of measurement means of:
- Radio communication, broadcasting and TV Centre (RCBTC);
- Branch of «Long distance enterprise» of the JSC "UZBEKTELEKOM".
Handling of work on metrological maintenance at the enterprises included the system of the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan, is assigned to the services or senior officers from the Engineering Manpower’s group.
With a view of maintenance of a unitary engineering policy in the field of traceability maintenance, the level increasing and technical measurement development in sphere of communication and information prior to the current state is created the branch System of traceability maintenance (hereafter - System), appearing the basic part of the State system of traceability maintenance (SMS Uz).
The primary tasks of System are:
- carrying out of the unitary engineering policy on traceability maintenance in sphere of communication and information;
- control over the implementation of unitary terminology on metrology;
- development and perfection on the basis of induction and observance of the international system unity, range of metrological norms harmonization, System rules and procedures;
- establishment of the rational IS nomenclature necessary for use in sphere of communication and information;
- definition of normative documents structure for the unitary traceability maintenance;
- definition of the System structure and functions of participants.
