General provisions
In accordance with the fulfillment of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan “On Information”, the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan of December 9, 2003 ¹ÓÏ-3358 “Concerning the improvement of systems of the Republic state bodies of administration” and with a view of further improvement of administration structure in sphere of communication, information and radio-frequency spectrum use under the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of May 7, 2004, ¹215 “Concerning the actions on development of activities of the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan” determined the organizational structure of administration in the communication and information sphere, consisting of the Central office and Territorial Administrations of the Communication and Information agency of Uzbekistan.
The main tasks of the Territorial Administrations of the Communication and Information Agency of Uzbekistan are:
- Maintenance of state policy realization in the field of communication and information development in close interaction with bodies of state administration on certain places;
- Coordination of works on maintenance of rational use of radio frequencies, exception of abusing and infringements of requirements of regulatory-legal acts at the use of technical means of TV-broadcasting and data transmission;
- Realization of monitoring and control over the fulfillment by the economic entities the terms of license agreements and requirements, elaboration and realization of concrete actions, including preventive, directed to the information security provision in the networks of post communication, telecommunications, data transmission and TV-broadcasting.
